Hey Todd, thanks a lot for sharing your process, really appreciate you taking the time! Wanted to share what I found on my end too — I actually figured this out just yesterday. Turns out I don't even need to check the Drop Ship box in the item master. Just set the Preferred Vendor + Price on the item's Purchasing/Inventory subtab, then use the Drop Ship template when creating the Sales Order — Create PO shows up right there with Drop Ship / Special Order options Approve the SO and the PO auto-generates and links back, works great so far 🙌 Keeping the item master clean was my main worry too, so this solved it for me without needing your location + workflow route — but good to have both options in the back pocket depending on the situation.
