I recently shared this in LinkedIn which I don’t use very often but I’m curious to know your thoughts 💭 about it:

You are assuming they won't find jobs in other fields, right?

In a “highly automated future” the “other fields” pool would be extremely low or it would be drastically reduced.

A "highly automated future" where fishing and farming, for example, would be automated too, for the whole planet, requires massive number of machines. What will produce them? Humans, or other machines? If other machines, who would create them? Also, if that happened, and millions of people became homeless, then all they would need to do is to control those production lines, problem solved.

another thought : If the "Highly Automated Future" comes true, then humans will have income to spend on goods and services, in turn "Capitalism" will cease exists (no profit makes is not viable). Thus eventually Startrek type utopia may emerge. Just a thought ablobthinking

@Sam-I-Am It would 100% require a different economy model but nobody knows which model or how to create it. Not even the scholars know yet.

Recently Ford hired back 400+ engineers they laid off and replace them with AI. Now they found out it was costing more and subpar results than the humans.
