anyone has gotten a similar error as this one? I see it both on webstorm and vscode when trying to use the extension. company rolled out netwrix endpoint protector so I’m sure it has something to do, but so far IT hasn’t been able to fix it. hoping anyone has insights.

What os are you running?

I'd check the certificate store to see if the root that signed the netsuite domains is trusted. You could also see if they can manually trust the NS certificate. Your browser typically has a separate certificate store which is why you're not getting ssl errors left and right browsing the web.
Under keychain access you should be able to see the systems trusted roots.

should it be listed as “netsuite”? returns no results

Ours is signed by digicert g3
Looking at my mac I see the default trust store has the digicert global root g3. If you have this certificate. I'd inquire to see if you have a MITM ssl inspection firewall service that's resigning things.

IT suggested the other way around, adding the EPP certs to my trust store, but now I get this 🫠

Good luck. Yeah that confirms they're doing a MITM on the ssl connections by signing their own certificates for all domains.
