It's not just you; yes, it has. It's very interesting what's going on with AI. I've come across PMs who can't hold themselves back in meetings now and are acting as engineers or architects because their confidence is skyrocketing after they started using Claude, for example.
This is creating noise and unnecessary back and forward at entirely new levels.
My personal estimation is that by 2030-2035 there is going to be so much code and processes to fix / refactor due to AI miss use (while at the same time in that period Junior developers intakes was shrinking due to AI use) that it would be very profitable for senior engineers.
