I believe I have a solution, but wanted to post to this group a COGS issue discovered with a potential client. Inventory Valuation Issues • Gross margin inaccuracies discovered during accounting review • Zero-cost items in system creating revenue recognition without corresponding COGS ◦ Example: item sold before being received into inventory ◦ Revenue recognized at zero cost, actual costs expensed on item receipts ◦ First transaction August 2025, discovered 30-40 days ago Is the only solution to go back to the original transaction and receive the inventory first, let costing run, and then COGS would be assigned to the correct date and transaction?

Maybe someone has a better answer now, but almost 10 years ago now, I was doing the same thing you were like once a month; going through all the transactions and moving them around, so the costing was correct because NS was incorrectly ordering intraday transactions. I will say I did find this SA article really helpful at the time as it outlined how intraday transactions are ordered (go to the end): https://suiteanswers.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/28147/loc/en_US
