I'm not sure if this question goes here (please point me on the right channel otherwise). If I activate Basic and Advanced Bins, I am reading that we need to check SOAP Web services integrations, scripts, workflows and saved searches on a big list of different records. Do you have tips for this? How usually people perform this review? For SOAP I know there is a log option to see the active ones, for script I am thinking on SDF, but what about workflows and saved searches? Any other consideration is more than welcome.

If I'm understanding correctly you need a way to see where bins or related fields are being used/referenced, if that is the case; there is no tool available to perform a comprehensive review of where some fields are being used (as far as I know); the existing options are very expensive or bigger than needed: • Strongpoint • Salto (not sure about their pricing) You will need to create a Map Reduce Script to load and inspect workflows and saved searches. I'm working on a tool (paid Chrome extension) that would allow you to quickly see where a field is being used: • Field Sourcing (being sourced from another field) • Forms Visibility (which forms has the field as visible) • Saved Searches (which one uses the field as filter, column or formula) • Workflows • Saved CSV Imports But this tool is weeks away from being released.

Thanks so much for your insights @alien4u. Yeah, what I want to understand is the right path to anticipate/identify which scripts/workflow/saved searches might break or deliver inaccurate results after enabling the bin feature, there is a big list from NetSuite docs: https://suiteanswers.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/19507/loc/en_US The workflow/saved search approach you mention gives me an idea for that. I would be happy to check your extension once that is ready 🙂 Thanks again!
