Hi, Has anyone here worked with NetSuite Global Account Mapping? Thanks. Our account manager says only NetSuite or certified partners can implement it, and that we can’t do it ourselves. Honestly, that feels a bit sketchy to me. I did requested for the documentation but she is not sharing it.

> Honestly, that feels a bit sketchy to me For better or worse, it's not that uncommon for new features. They do that (or have done it in the past) for ARM and Multibook. And SuiteTax I think. They tend to do it for new and/or complex features that involve things where there's no "undo."

But, Multi booking accounting is not a complex feature as NetSuite projecting as it is complex process. If users dont like they can simply ignore it. it wont create any issues.

Taking the opportunity to ask here, did you guys already implemented Global and Item Mapping using Custom Segments? I’m having issues when trying to map using CSegs . For Global Mapping on journals, it’s using Body segment value instead of the line level and for Item Mapping is not working at all

You know, there is a reason why only partners or MB certified persons can implement MB of which global account mapping is part. Support got tired of fixing f'ups and just stopped self implementation. There many things that can go wrong with MB specifically if the instance has inventory and scripting. And then there is Accounting Context. Companies quickly run out of books with many statutory reporting countries, so if you only need global account mapping, consider accounting context. My clients use it often.
