If we turn on ReST Web Services, and find we don't like any of the side effects, can we turn it back off without any trouble? And what side effects have any of you wish you'd known about before turning it on?

Im confused as to what you mean by "side effects" as far as turning on REST I don't think it would make any change in your account&gt;
It's only whether you choose to USE the Rest API endpoints or not

Also what other services would you use besides REST?

SOAP is being deprectated and the only other Web SErvice i'm aware of is ODBC, which is only for data extraction

Well if there aren't any side effects, then I'll tell our admin that it's okay to turn it on, as it will have zero effect whatsoever on anything we already have running and/or stored in NetSuite.

Yes from my understanding there would be no impact to your account to just enalbe the feature.
