Usually a resume is very limited in what it explains. If it says that you're the admin at xxx company, I'd like to know what kinds of things you did there as an admin. At my last company, another department was hiring for a guitar manufacturing position, they wanted to hire someone with experience as a guitar tech. A guy applied, his title at his last job was guitar tech. We asked him what he did as a guitar tech since it was on his resume, and he said he changed strings and tuned guitars at his last job. That is very basic guitar knowledge, not what a tech does. A guitar tech would have been knowledgeable in upgrading the elctronics, would know what potentiometers go with what pickups, would have changed out pickups, soldered new electronics, even refretting necks, or straightening necks, changing out bone nuts and/or machine heads. That was what we were expecting to hear from this guy since his resume said he was a guitar tech.
