We are considering using a Custom Transaction (Sales) for one our crazy unique billing processes. I love the concept but I am really struggling to understand NetSuite's logic / position with custom sales transactions. I create the custom transactions, can add items to the transaction. The transaction shows on the Customer Payment screen. ok, good (kinda) But there is no Amount Due / Amount Remaining on the Custom Sales Transaction Summary Table (top right). If I make a Payment against it, nothing happens to the custom sales transaction (that I can see). There is no button to accept payment (guess I can do a WF...) Am I missing something?

@NS Admin Think of the Sales custom transaction style as akin to the standard functionality of a "Sales Order". I.e. there are item/inventory, tax, and rev rec implications, but all other stuff is done on a separate transaction type (e.g. Invoice -> Customer Payment or Cash Sale).

Thanks. Yeah, that is what I thought as well; however, NetSuite pitches it as it can replace an invoice and the documentation for transformation is all "Custom Transaction > Payment"
