Is there a way to remove or deactivate a costing method in Netsuite?  We’re trying to eliminate `Average` from our system entirely

you can change the default costing method under Setup -&gt; Accounting -&gt; Accounting Preferences -&gt; Items/Transactions.

Near the bottom, there's a section for Cost Accounting, you can set a default there. As far as removing or eliminating one as an option altogehter, I'm not 100% positive, but I don't believe this is possible.
