Is there an easy way to send a bulk email without mail merge? From what I gather our customers need opt in for mail merge since it's considered a marketing thing, but we were looking for a quick way send a single letter without having to do it one by one. A workflow (or maybe mass update) is the only other method I think could work

We've done similar using WF: create a saved search with all the opt in customers. Create the email content (either within the email bit in the WF or via the email template) and run the scheduled WF

ah ok. Thats what I started to work on. Just using a save search with the email and executing it
