Hi all, quick question on inventory optimization. Has anyone done anything to develop a method in NetSuite for identifying: • Non-stocked items that should be inventoried for better margins? • Stocked items that shouldn't be due to low sales? Looking for any tips on saved searches, reports, or third-party apps.

we have an analysis that looks at the number of months items are sold in the past six months. Depending upon the number of months we set a field between Stocked and Non-stock. If an item achieves sales in 4 out of 6 months it is stocked. If less then it moves to non-stock. We also take into account whether it is locally sourced or imported with longer supply time. Separately we have an analysis running on items with excess inventory levels relative to sales. We highlight these items to the sales team.
