Hi all! I am trying to remove the commerce categories from the facets view, and it is not going away! I have already removed it from the list in Web Site Setup > Search Index > Facet Fields. Am I missing something?

Hi @Katy you will still need the commerce categories field in the facet fields section, as without it you will get errors when sorting/filtering category pages. To remove the Commerce Categories from the facets view you'll need to go to Setup > SuiteCommerce Advanced > Configuration and then under the Integration > Categories tab you should see a checkbox for 'Show Categories Navigation Menu'. @Harley I think that setting is for the main navigation menu along the top of the page

Hey @Katy, no the categories in the header are managed via Layout > Navigation. In there is a list that should have a Categories placeholder, which is what shows the categories in the header menu.

@Harley If I uncheck it my main navigation menu disappears, except HOME

Hmm - apologies on my behalf then. You may need to get a developer to update the template and remove the categories expander manually then.

I believe if a developer sets a

facets.exclude

value for commerce categories in the master search parameters, they should not be generated
