Hello everyone! I am planning on upgrading our website from Vinson to 2019.1 sometime this month. I have been testing on our sandbox, but will be transitioning assets to our live account soon. I have a few questions: 1. Would installing any bundles cause a conflict with our Vinson bundle (2019.1, configuration update, etc.)? 2. We will be transitioning to sitewide https, do I need to take any special considerations (redirect, etc.)? 3. Any other general advice is greatly appreciated!

2019.1 is out of date, you should migrate to 2019.2. Unless you already have them, you will not be able to get the 2019.1 bundles.
You will need a theme, which is a different way to deliver the look and feel of the frontend of the site. Migrating a Vinson 'theme' to a modern one will be a fair bit of work, so you may just find it easier to start from scratch or, if they are available, one of our pre-made ones.

Hi, we are nearing the end of the process of migrating from Elbrus to 2019.1. In fact, our sandbox is finished except for one service/http request problem I am having. To address your questions: (1) we had no issues installing the 2019.1 bundle, and in fact had to, along with extension and theme dev tools to then have them available on Sandbox. It sounds like you may already be beyond that, so we've also had no issues deploying extensions and assets to have them "ready to go" for when we finalize this. (2) I am not sure, our site is already fully https (3) Our Elbrus site is highly customized, so this was a time consuming project, but after the initial learning curve (documentation out there can be confusing because much of it deals with migrating to pre-2018 versions, or before the extensibility API or whatever they call it), it wasn't that bad -- but my advice is to do it all on your sandbox obviously and treat it pretty much like a new implementation, especially if your site is already highly customized.

There's documentation on upgrading to a secure shopping domain, but you can read one customer's experience with it here: https://developers.suitecommerce.com/learn-how-diy-home-center-implemented-a-secure-shopping-domain
If you're not familiar with the commerce extension framework, I would read the docs on it as well as my various blog posts on the topic.

Is there not a way to get 2019.1 through our account manager? I didn't install it on our live site because I was not sure if it would cause complications. I'd love to upgrade to 2019.2, but I have been working on 2019.1 for about 4 months now. We have a heavily customized site.

Well, as I said, if you already have them then it doesn't really matter. Strictly speaking, when it comes to SCA, you run your site from customised versions of the core bundles anyway

We have installed 2019.1 on our sandbox, but not our live account.
Thanks for the help! I'm going to try to move some of these bundles next week.
