Signed up to take the SuiteFoundations exam this Friday, anyone take the exam recently and can share any pointers or any advice?
t
Mine is in two weeks, looking forward to seeing people's responses.

Good luck!

It's been many years since I got my certs, and can't share any specifics, but I will say that on some of the tests, the questions were worded very oddly. Like had been doing NetSuite for years and had never heard things called by the terminology they were using. Just kind of had to slow myself down and re-read the question once or twice and then it made sense what they were going for (even if it did seem like a really strange way to ask the question). Also (as with any standardized test) carefully read the question instructions - they have some multiple-selection answers and the like.
But mostly, don't worry, you'll do fine. I don't know what the passing percentage is but I'm fairly certain you can miss a good number and still be fine. And you can always do a re-take after waiting a bit, so no reason to stress.

I’m considering taking it to get more familiar with NS as a software engineer, especially around terminology and workflows. Still pretty early at my company and working through a lot. For those who’ve taken it, what prep methods helped the most? Is it worth it for someone mainly working on integrations?

SuiteFoundation is not hard, if you are cognizant on these area 1. Enable Feature 2. Accounting Preferences 3. General Preferences 4. Personal Preferences 5. Dashboard 6. Basic NetSuite transaction flow Then I believe you'll pass it easily

I don't have an account yet. I’m curious if it’s possible to get a personal playground while I get familiar with the workflow. Do we need to be a paying customer for that?
t
I took the test and passed. It was pretty easy. A lot of similar questions like the ones on the practice test

I just took the 50-question mock test they provide online and scored 44% 😞 So, not ready yet. Though tbh, I'm just a few months into a new gig with sporadic exposure to SuiteTalk and pretty much none to NS UI itself, so kinda expected 😅
t
My test is on Saturday...I need to get on it.
t
I kept taking the practice test until I got 100% 3 times. I also had my wife verbally ask me the questions so I just could not remember the order of the questions, she also scrambled the order of the answers. That helped big time.
t
Your wife is a saint.

lol
t
THat is what she tells me, and trust me, I know that!
t
Well, I passed too. Not bad, @Todd Juenemann are you going to do the administrator cert next?
r
Congrats @Tim Chapman
t
@Tim Chapman, that is the plan, took a practice test and got around 75%, hoping to take it by end of June or July.
t
Thanks, I think I want to get mine by July as well. Does this go far for employers?
t
Most companies are looking for it, at least on the job postings I have seen, also helps in the higher salaries.
t
Pay up.
