@stalbert IIRC Since 1990 when the DDR SDRAM was invented or presented in the Solid-State Circuits Convention, computers architecture has being designed around the idea or using busses and in Intel World North and South communications bridges to communicate with the Chipset, RAM or GPU. So I still think this design change in Desktop and Laptop Computers is a very good and disrupting change architecture wise in the last 20-30 years.
