So we would love to add a service charge to customers paying with a credit card. All fine & good on new orders we know will be paid that way. However - when they are trying to pay on open invoices in closed/locked period - we can't add the fee to the invoice. Has anyone tried doing this? We don't want to purchase plug in software. I know Paystand will do this, but they're far too expensive at this point.

Could you consider adding the service charge to your period close procedure so that unpaid invoices are updated w/ the desired charge prior to closing the period?

Possibly. Thanks. I think we have a pretty low % of CC payments so it might be more work than its worth.

hi @ kristy kapsner we built a really simple solution for this. It adds the charge on a payment link, and is dynamically removed if echeck or debit card is used. $15 a month + CC fee (but that goes away when you surcharge it). happy to share more details.
