Question about saved searches with the 'Run Unrestricted' checkbox checked. I thought the whole point of that was that it ignored the record permissions on the user's role and showed all results. This SA article is saying that it doesn't do that, and that all it does is ignore the class, department, location, sub, or employee restrictions on their role. https://suiteanswers.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/34304/loc/en_US. Is this true? Has this always been the case? I could have sworn in the past I've used this to display things like Journal Entries for users that didn't have access to the Journal Entry record.

that's a news to me, I can vouch your past experience. I used to give this search option to employee center roles - they could see the search results but could not drill down. It boils down to licensing cost and probably tighter security on SOD

Yeah, was trying to create a search to show some script results for users without any SuiteScript access at all and they couldn't run it, even unrestricted. Managed to cobble together a serviceable, but very Frankenstein workaround after getting jerked around by support for like 2+ hours yesterday.
