Question: I had a user uploaded FAM Assets and for some reason they are not depreciating. Some of them created an acquisition record and others are just sitting there.
I realized that they did not have the ASSET CURRENT COST so I manually edited 1 and added that to see if that would fix it once I pre-compute. All of the fields filled in match what other assets that are behaving properly.
I am starting to think my only option is to delete all the assets they created and create them via a proposal. However I know FAM is very odd to delete records from

I can try to make an example in sandbox but I just got off the call about this

Was able to figure it out. The user uploaded the assets but did not enable it to run scripts so the assets were created, but nothing was triggered.
Ended up using the bulk delete asset feature (glad to have found that) and created 2 proposals and split them

Hi, you need to run the Precompute Depreciation Values after the FAM assets are uploaded so that depreciation records can be created. Also, user need to make sure that all parameters needed for depreciation are populated and correct.

I did that I think because they ran the import without the backgrounds scripts the other necessary records weren't created. It's pretty confusing at first.

I kept running that precompute and nothing was happening

Are the fields needed for depreciation populated correctly, like depreciation active? Sometimes, you also need to set the value for that field to FALSE and set it back to TRUE again, then run the precompute depreciation so that it will reset and regenerate the depreciation histories.

@Chris - yes, you have to check that checkbox to run the script, otherwise import does not create any FAM asset value records. Check SuiteAnswers 90630, should fix your problem.
