Hi all, we changed transaction numbers and copied the old number to a custom field of type text area. The field has "global search" checked and full access yet the record is not showing results when populated in the search bar. Does anyone know why this may be happening? Thanks & Happy Friday!

Make sure you have the GLOBAL SEARCH SORT BY NAME/ID preference set in your local preferences.

Yes, This is turned on but doesn't address being able to query the customer field that has the global search checked. Any other ideas?

Nothing else springs to mind, tested it here and it works fine. That was the only preference I could find that caused the search to fail. Maybe someone else may have some ideas.
