long shot, any one ever tried to add a check box to the topline where the bottons on a cust sublist?

i did years ago with a client script, the behavior was it was a "check all" so once it was clicked jquery was delivering the event to a clientscript function that was going over the list and setting true on the checkbox

the Check all works for sublist type = LIST, worth mentioning i'm on type INLIEEDITOR
