I've noticed the issue with SS2 scripts also, I'm betting it's a regular netsuite bug rather than pushing away from SS1. I've also noticed this in both 2018.2 and 19.1 so seems to have been a general bug rather than version specific.

We had a bug come up on a record that had both SS2 and SS1 client scripts applied.
