Is it possible to put a custom field on Saved Searches? NOT a custom formula to appear in search results, but on to the search record itself. I'd love a field to add a description for the search, or maybe a way to add tags to them.

It isn't currently possible. There's been an enhancement request for about 15 years for this feature. I once asked Evan G about it and he suggested we just use saved searches to organize our saved searches. 🙂

I tried that but I'm having trouble making a saved "saved search" search that does a decent job of categorizing them.

I just put my tags into the search title like "ABCdev" with "ABC" being my initials so that when search "ABCdev" in global search all my searches that I use all the time pop up there, but you could use any sort of convention(s) you wanted of course.

Exactly. We need either custom or some sort of category fields to be able to do that. Vote for #101497 if you want. I was wrong. It's only been 12 years. So we'll be getting this any day now!

@jen I use 🔒 in the search title to indicate searches that need to remain untouched, and it seems to work well enough... but I am just counting the days until someone ignores it.
