I am a little lost on custom records access. I have a role that was only listed as VIEW but still the edit rights to the underlying record.  I went in and removed the role entirely from the custom records permission list and made sure the role itself doesn't have the access.

For some reason the role retains the ability to edit the record.

Whats the access controls on the custom record?

Well I have reduced it to NONE but it still shows up, Could it be just allowing me since I am the owner of it?

Can always give another user that role and see if they can access it

it does appear to be due to me being the owner

I made someone else the owner of the custom record type and now when i try to view it tells me I don't have access
