Hi, have a trouble reconciling AP aging report against Balance sheet, the balance doesn't match (I looked through all the NS articles and tried to troubleshoot it but balance still not equal). Did anyone have this issue and managed to match the balances? Thank you
k
you are likely to have manual JEs in your balance which are excluded from the report.

It could be your individual settings. Go to preferences and make sure you are viewing as "financial only". If you still have issues dm me and I can share a write up on this issue - several of my clients have had this issue

Do you allow date/period mismatch? If so, this is your issue. Financial reports, like the balance sheet and trial balance, are based on the posting period. The aging reports, by default, are based on the transaction date. Check accounting preferences you can change Aging reports to be based off transaction date or due date If you allow a date/period mismatch, you'll have variances. And The standard AP aging report includes ALL accounts of account type "Accounts Payable” Add a filter to filter for only the AP account that matches to the B/S account you want to see If anything change you need to trace the earliest period with discrepancy and manually trace the discrepancy per entity.

Hi Mb, thank you for the above. I have tried everything, in majority cases we would post a transaction with different transaction date vs posting period, knowing that I chose reports by period for all reports. Then I changed aging reports to transaction date rather than due date in Accounting settings. I also amended a layer on a BS to exclude any account apart from the one I need to reconcile against AP aging and in AP aging I did the same - just looking at the balance of a specific account. But the balance is not matching at all. I choose period April 2024 on BS and as of April 2024 on my AP aging. Why is it not matching still?
