Is there a way to control the ship FROM address for Avalara tax purposes? We have a lot of one-time events where we sell our inventory. They are set up as separate Shopify stores. In NetSuite, we can't have separate locations for each event because that's a lot. But Avalara needs the correct Ship FROM address to calculate the right tax which I think is based on the location address. How do we get around this?

are you saying you are carrying (physically) into the event location and then ship out of the event location (and you take everything that is unsold and put it back into the original location)?

well, it is not the Avalara issue, you need to transfer your inventory for events, I do not think you can get around it

So does that mean we have to create a location in NS for every event location with different sales tax rates? That would be a lot

I understand but if you need to have your ship-from address as the jurisdiction of that event you literally have to do it. what taxes do you have to pay btw because of the location of your merchandise?
