Just got an out of nowhere saved search report via email that appears to come from Netsuite. Subject is Search: MGM-Cash Details - ALL (QTD - WITH Cash Sale). Anyone know what this may be about?
j
That name indicates that it would be a created Saved Search - I'm assuming your business acronym is MGM. You can dig into the header of the email to locate the saved search this originates from, or just use CTRL+F and see if one in your system matches this name.
p
Negative on our business acronym. no idea who MGM is. In the name column our company is listed but that is the only item linking to us. I did a search on all saved searches and came up blank. At first glace I assume that it was a report generated by Netsuite and then sent to us in a scheduled email but not one of our reports. very odd.

I got 2 calls from NetSuite Customer Support this week asking me about open support cases for companies that I was not a part of...it was strange.
j
I've never heard of such a thing automatically emailing, another trail you could follow is if you have any employees with such initials (MGM)
Oftentimes people can create their own searches from a Save As that have existing notifications on and forget to remove that from the copy.
The Email Header is a surefire way to track it down but that varies from email system to email system.
s
Email header will show the the internal id of the saved search

@Sam-I-Am @Jeff Jacobs So Netsuite tells me that I was sent the email in error. A little bit alarming that this can / would happen.
j
And they took ownership of the email? Did it originate from your account?
m
So it WAS from a different account?
If you look at the email header it will say what account id it was sent from
j
I mean in theory another account could have entered an email incorrectly as well
p
@Jeff Jacobs - it came from a netsuite email and was not one of my searches.
i emailed the person who sent it to me (they had an @netsuite.com email) and they told me ignore and apologized.
j
Ahh gotcha, lol just an employee's oopsie then.
