Hello, I have a question. We are running into an issue where we change a date on the transaction but the period does not always update along with that date. For example we set the date to 4/1/2024 but the period did not update to April 2024 on some of the transactions we updated. Does anyone here have an idea what we could look at why the period is not updating? Thank you.

Maybe check your accounting preference if you find something

If the period is locked it may not allow you to change it. also if you have not setup all the accouting periods in your Fiscal calenedar it may not update it. Lastly, in accouting preferences you can change the setting for Date/Period mismatch preferences to allow, disallow or warn depending on your use case

we have confirmed that the period was still open. we do have the periods setup. we moved the date into an open period. the period changed on some of the transactions but it did not change on all of them. do you know why we did not get the correct period?
