What do you guys think is the best way to create 1 PO to supply multiple specific SOs so when the PO is received, the SOs are committed as if it were a special order?
I remember seeing a module that did something like this at suiteworld a couple of years ago, but I can't find it. Maybe it never made it to a release...may have been a preview

Not sure I have a great solution, but if you create a “Blanket PO” and receive it, you can use the Fulfill Orders page to select the SOs to fulfill. Not sure though if your item receipt would commit items to other SOs.

My idea would be to create a special SO for the bulk quantity and close the SO after the PO was created. I think in that case, at least when the PO is received it won't commit to anything automatically.
I just want to ensure that the items received don't commit to the wrong orders. Committing to nothing is better than wrong.
I swore netsuite presenting something a few years ago that allows booking SO lines to a specific PO. Wish I could find that.

Here’s something on Blanket Purchase Orders https://suiteanswers.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/39461

I don't think blanket POs work as they don't specify what SO. They would just automatically link to the oldest order.
in a special order scenario, it only commits to the SO that created it
