Question about the Asset Summary Report.  The Finance team recently asked me about the asset summary report and they do not like that the disposals under the depreciation is under the additions column. I asked ACS as to why this is to at least provide a real reason to the finance team other than …."that's how NetSuite does it." but that seemed to be the answer they gave me.

Also I did try to mess around with the setting "WRITE-DOWN USING DEPRECIATION ACCOUNT", but it actually made no difference in the entry that was created.

Disposal JE:

A/D Hardware - Laptops -- Debit: 100	
G/L on Disposal of Asset --  Credit: 150	 
Computer Hardware - Laptops -- Credit: 250
