Hey everyone. I am excited to be here. I have never used Netsuite before. I previously used Syspro. The new company I am at just began our Netsuite implementation. Any tips or tricks to help me get ahead of the curve? I am our WMS manager and we currently use ShipHero. We may be looking to upgrade our WMS to something like Manhattan Scale, or even something that Netsuite offers.
a
what role are you in with the company? are you going to be helping w/ the implementation itself? NS is a large beast...
m
I am our WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) Manager. I will not be helping with the integrations directly. More learning. We have a consulting firm onboarding us for the next 3 months.
a
gotcha - sorry i just saw you already said that, didn't read closely enough
your consulting partner should be able to help you select an appropriate WMS partner or help you vet whether NS WMS will work for you
in terms of learning NS, there are the Oracle help guides, as well as Oracle learning cloud - if your company is paying for that, there are courses you can take
and you should be able to find something similar re: receiving and other warehouse operations

Got it. I think Netsuite should have something to offer, but my boss really likes Manhattan Scale. We are a clothing company doing about $12 Million USD a month, so we are growing, but not anything huge yet.
But I am definitely going to check out that link. I just want to stay ahead of the learning curve. Netsuite seems much more user friendly than Syspro.
a
I'm not familiar with Syspro but not surprised to hear that - the interface is (usually) pretty good compared to a lot of non web-based ERPs.
Not heard of Manhattan Scale but considering your size and industry, NS WMS would likely be an OK fit. Sounds like you're just doing small parcel shipments and don't have lot numbered or serialized inventory. Might just come down to how you have your warehouse structured (bins etc).

You should look into RF-smart and ShipHawk

I 2nd RF-Smart, it is a little pricey but I have seen seamless integrations. Also CHATGPT is your best friend when it comes to learning netsuite its like 80% right but a million times faster than looking through the oracle docs. Also, if your company is still negotiating with Oracle try to get a free NetSuite training license
m
Thanks. I will definitely look into RF-Smart a little more. Currently, at our company it will be competing with Manhattan as my boss has worked with them extensively before, but all options are still on the table. We are currently onboarding Netsuite right now and a local SoCal consulting team is coming out 3 times a week to help the onboarding go smoothly.
