How does one close WOs that are in progress however remaining quantity isn't to be built? i.e. WO quantity is 1000, 950 built however 50 won't be built.. using outsourced manufacturing so this WO is created from a PO and the PO has 1000.. tried amending that quantity to 950 however get the error message, and Close button is greyed out on both the WO and PO it was created from?

Delete assembly build, change WO, recreate assembly build?

cannot delete as fall part of last month and books closed

Do an Assembly Build for the Remaining Qty 50 using Today's Date and then gather your component items with GL cost for each on the GL impact and create an Inv Adj Increase to bring all the components back into inventory using the same date and cost for each component from the AB.
