Hi, I'm looking for the ideal way to set up this item 🙂 We have an item that we order from multiple vendors, each vendor sells the item in a different UOM. How would you set up the base unit type?

Usually it’s best to set up the base units as the smallest possible unit of each form of measure For example pcs would be “Each” Length would be “Inch” Weight would be “ounce” or maybe “pound” So your units types would be Each or Eaches Length Weight Volume Etc Then the base of each unit type would be Each Inch Ounce Etc (With a conversion rate of 1) Then build you table up from there Eaches table could have Case of 10 Box of 12 Pack of 100 Length table could have 12 feet 3 yards 100 meters All with their respective conversions
