What reasons / "business impacts" will get a defect past U4?

it's all about how you sell it, but I've had trouble getting things past about U3 unless there's full downtime of some part of my netsuite service involved (i.e. it's straight up not working versus intermittently having issue or running way slow)

buzzwords that help: "revenue impacts", "financial impact", "can't close the books", "audit/auditors", "SOX/compliance"

basically make your issue seem like the end of the world, and your entire business is going to crumble unless they get it fixed right away. 😂

regular followup/contact/complaining and also contacting your account rep can help. I've had a few defects where they started out as like a U5/U6 and eventually ended up U3, because I just kept following up and asking for a timeline for resolution and referencing their estimated timelines, saying this needs to be bumped up now that's it's been X months

damn. I'll have to get the sales department involved, I went into IT to try and avoid that dramatization...

They will ask you for a dollar amount impact on the business. You can try to go through your account manager to get it promoted.
