09/27/2023, 4:14 PMI did similar kind of thing for payroll and 401K related transactions - used a workflow based on GL account to restrict view of the transactions by role - throw a restriction violation at one of my previous company. Not elegant but works, you can also take the scripting route which can be better.

09/27/2023, 11:35 PMUsers will still be able to view data via search/analytics. Another option is to use a payroll journal or even just a custom transaction and control access via roles.
