HI All. Does anyone know how the timing of a sandbox refresh works in terms of when the production snapshot is taken? Our Finance team are based in the US and we're looking to do a refresh of one of our sandbox accounts after their month end is completed. They are not due to complete their July month end until EOD on the 7th Aug (US time) and we need to start making some import config changes on the 8th (UK time) so want to be sure that everything is included in the sandbox refresh. If we kick of the refresh on the night of the 7th UK time, will that capture all the changes for the 7th, or will the snapshot be taken from the evening of the previous day US time (the 6th)?

Of the 4 sandboxes I have, the last 3 refreshes have the snapshot time exactly 2 hours before the request time. One of the sandboxes has a snapshot time 2 hours after the requested time. You can view this for your own on your sandbox page (setup->company->sandboxe accounts). Obviously this is just anecdotal, but might help

HI CD. Yes it;s the same on mine. 2 hour time difference. The issue I guess I have is tthe time differences between countries. It looks to me that the times for the refresh in our system are US west cost. Our Finance team are based US east coast and I'm in the UK. So if I kick off the refresh at midnight UK time, the snapshot that will be taken will be 8 hours prior to that (west cost time) but that will be before our finance team would have finished their processing as they are 3 hours ahead of that (if that makes sense?)

I think you’re over complicating this? Wait 2 1/2 hours after the US have finished, then kick the refresh off?
