Howdy! I am trying to find out what template is being used when an internal user selects "Save & Email" on a Customer Payment record to send email with PDF copy of payment receipt to our customer. Have checked the custom form templates, customized templates. system templates, etc and cannot seem to find the source. There appears to be custom email body that we are looking to change but again, am unable to locate where this is coming from. Any ideas, advice or suggestions on how to figure this out??

I admit I could peruse that more deeply but our SME did not have one in mind super familiar with. Could be old or tucked into something less intuitive. We do have descriptions and titles to try to make this easier but its possible. Any smart way of querying automation in general by something like an email body text vs having to look through them manually?

So if you use google chrome you can install "NetSuite Scripted Records" and this will help you show scripts running on records. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/netsuite-scripted-records/dkhjafbceiceaidnbbilhphhkanlpkkj?hl=en-US Second you can always look at the system notes, and workflow history to see if any workflows are being ran.

Late to the party as I only get on here every week or so. BUT, You might want to see if there is a default email template assigned to the form you are using. Each form/layout can have different email and print templates assigned to them.

Just wanted to circle back to this if anyone was curious since I had no success with the basics and the suggestions above. I consulted Blue Banyan to look into the issue and this is what they said: Good morning, I hope you are having a good week so far. Our BB team has reviewed your template issue and you are correct in that this is unable to be changed at this time with NetSuite. Since around 2021, NetSuite's APIs and customization options have not have provided a direct way to customize the intro text that accompanies the email carrying a PDF attachment. The default intro text you've provided seems to be a standard template used for sending transaction forms or documents via email from NetSuite. This is still not customizable and not resolved by NetSuite. The workaround BB proposes is to create a new email template that will be used to manually send the email and choose the template (see image 1 and 2), or we can modify the workflow when users click on the "Email" button in the Customer Payment record. We can create this workflow, just need the language to be used. Our estimated LOE 3-6 hours to build, test and deploy to Prod based on solution chosen.
