Question on custom fields: I have a custom record type with several List/Record fields. Most of them, if populated with a value, show the record as a link, which can be clicked. However, there are two List/Record fields, both of type Subscription, that just show the id and name of the populated value, and are not clickable. Does anyone know what controls that behavior, or how to change it? I know that on some built-in record types, like Change Orders, there are clickable Subscription fields.

SuiteAnswers 103860 seems to indicate that sometimes it just doesn't work (no explanation as to why) but they do offer a workaround for creating a field with a link, which is probably why this has never gotten fixed across the board, as they usually shove things down to U7 or U8 if there's a "reasonable workaround", although you'd still need your regular field so this feels pretty janky to me.

thanks for that. My first thought was to create link fields, but then I wondered if maybe there was a right way to fix this. Glad to know I was on the right track, though it bothers me a bit that this is necessary.
