Hi does anyone have any recommendations for modules to use for very complex financial forecasting, budgeting and planning? Would want to do monthly forecasting and budgeting for departments, classes, subsidiaries and even supply chain planning if possible Also more in depth project forecasting would be nice as well Just wondering what other people have used if you don't mind sharing

back when we went live with Netsuite in 2018 2017, adaptive insights was their preferred partner (where we're located, at least). There are one or two complications re integration but its modelling is very strong. They've been acquired by workday now so most of their dev is in that direction these days.

Solution 7 is a more budget friendly approach than the other two options - but it does not have as many bells and whistles

I know that we originally went with Adaptive (we went live at same time and location as @Jon Kears) and were very unhappy, but it's from before my time here so I don't have more details. As far as I know PBCS is working well after we sorted out integration issues (it was mainly concurrency bottlenecks that were solved by a tier upgrade and timing the updates better).

My biggest complaint with the adaptive sales process was that they said during the demo "you are looking at live netsuite data there" (suggesting the reporting was some kind of direct connection to the database) and that was a huge selling point for me. Then when we did implementation, it didn't work like that at all. There is a drill through but it relies on using a very limited integration method. I don't think I'm selling it very well, but the modelling and forecasting stuff is actually pretty strong I have an accountant colleague who swears by TM1 but I don't know how nicely it plays with Netsuite

I used adaptive from 2010-2014 at my old employer. It did just about everything we wanted. Lots of work with custom records though for forecasting

I have used adaptive in.two places, yes integration can be tricky, constantly need to updated saved searches and the mapping. When it works it is great. Nesuite use to sell it under their own umbrella in the past. Implemented PBCS for one client a year ago, quite good basically ported Hyperion.

We use advanced financials which allows budget & forecast. Oracle ownes both NetSuite and Hyperion (which has pretty extensive customizeable budgeting tools) but i don't know if it is the best. We mostly export large data amounts into excel and then manipulate master data to get cost center reports.
