It appears that you can see the discount broken out proportionately when an SO holds the discount amount under the “discount code” field (above the transaction lines) but I’m hearing that Opportunities don’t contain discount fields at all.

Dont know about the op limit but you can apply a discount to a subtotal

You can add subtotal to transactions and apply the discount to the subtotal for it to apply the way you desire
