How do I determine the size limit of a string column in NetSuite?

@Wes Gamble Search for SuiteAnswers page 10085. It is "Field Type Descriptions for Custom Fields". That describes the different text fields. If you are working with a native field you can then use the Records Browser to see what kind of a text field it is.

Some of the field types on Records Catalog say Text and some TextArea. When it just says Text I believe that relates to a Free Form Text field on the SuiteAnswers page, so 300 characters.
