Hi all. Does anyone know how to apply order allocation strategy on the order level, without changing the strategy on each line. I know we can do this on the customer level, but that wont work in our case. Thanks!

No, but it sure would be nice. Closest I have come is a line-item-level open order report that I can extract and update in excel and then CSV import back into netsuite to update the lines all at once, but that’s probably not really helpful for 1 or 2 individual sales orders. I have a host of simple “wants” that would make supply allocation a lot more useable out of the box, but so far the answer to every question has been “throw lots of money at it to have a script written to do it”.

Header level allocation strategies are not available for transactions.

Shame. So, there’s several very simple features that would make supply allocation (and some other functions) a lot more useable without excessive scripting--is there any process for getting those types of wants into a development process for an update, or is that intentional to sell more consulting? Example, the supply-required-by dates on each line-item default to the date of order-entry, which defeats the whole purpose of the feature in the first place or forces you to adjust each line individually, which is asinine--it should be applied on the order-header level, or default to the ship date, not the date of order-entry. At first I thought maybe I had some unique situation, but I’ve now spoken with 3 different companies who aren’t using the feature entirely because of this one reason, and they dont have the staff to do so much manual work, nor budget to have a script written to fix every little bug like this.

You can use a script or an import to change it based on a value on the customer.
