Is there a way to calculate then set the sales prices within NS? For example, we are currently calculating our sales prices in Excel by adding 30% to the default purchase price + landed cost then we will import the calculated sales price into NS. It would be nice if we can set a desired gross profit rate or something like that per item then NS will automatically calculate the new sales price and set it at the effectivity date.

Assuming your costs are in NS, you could use script to deploy the automati]c margins based upon a new item custom field

Effective Date Pricing does not allow calculation of sales prices. I have to have the sales prices themselves.

I guess SuiteScript is the only way.
