Hi All, need a suggestion. we are have a lot (3k-4k) of non-inventory item which should have been inventory. I wanna know better way to convert them into inventory and what will be the impact on the system if we convert from non-invt to invt?

You could do an export of all item record data, then re import as inventory items. Then inactivate the old non inventory part However it would depend on how many open transactions and active BOMs are effected by these items. That is where the real hard work comes in. Updating transactions and BOMs to use the new inventory item instead of the non inventory item is very time consuming and tedious I don't know of any “fast” way to do that

Even doing the conversion process has additional work - I'd do a bunch of CSV exports and reimports as the right thing and then update transactions with the new items
