Hello all, I have a question on Online customer forms for CRM. It's my first time using external online customer forms and I need It for making online tender then see the results of which customer made highest or lowest offer. I've created a new online form record but couldn't make It to system update my custom field on existing customers data entered on online form. System creates every time a new lead. I opened "HANDLE DUPLICATE RECORDS --> Update the first record created" but still no change. Any suggestions? Thanks netsuite

Yes. I know this problem. Edit your Online Form. For the Company Name, check the Search column for that field row and suddenly IF the form has that and it knows this customer or party is part of that company it will perform an update. …the issue with this is customers don’t type in a text field value that matches their company name as-is in NetSuite account usually. May want to think through this and how you’re sending the links because you can hide this as well and pass the customer value as a a parameter in the URL. Typically, this is down with a hyperlink sourcing customer internal ID in the body of an email template. The email template is sent from customer record for example…same could be done for email address etc…

See the column Search. Check the box for the field that you want to use to search NetSuite for to find the associated record. E.g. Company Name or Email, or both. Test it a lot with known and unknown values to learn how it behaves

I have show what I did 2 weeks ago to my customer and they told me their real need and It's RFQ. So I cancelled their Online form request and setups a RFQ for their vendor quotes

I meant RFQ. Just wanted to forewarn you it’s not scriptable and entry must be done by vendor, not on behalf of vendor.
