I am trying to enable a way to generate commercial invoices, Proforma etc. for international shipments but I'm having a difficult time finding this functionality. How do you guys handle generating commercial invoices?

For proforma invoices I have created check boxes on the Sales Order that change the logic in the PDF template to read "Proforma Invoice." As for commercial invoices, there is not a standardized form for this. Your best option is to probably use advanced PDF customization.

Okay, yeah I think mabe thats the way forward. Having trouble with the logic for partial deliveries as the sales order always seem to use total ordered quantity which results in incorrect invoice amounts..

You could enable the Invoice in Advance of Shipment feature. Then just create the invoice for what you need and send a PDF of that

Is your NetSuite account integrated with FedEx/USPS/UPS? If so, we do have options to print Commercial Invoice, etc. in the Item Fulfillment provided that you enable the International Shipments preference in the Shipping page and the items are properly setup.

No we do not have it integrated with FedEx. I saw something about it and though that maybe I can enable FedEx integration only to get the Commerical invoices, or are those created after a booking with FedEx is made?
