Anyone know if it's possible to add a custom field to a Purchase Requisition Expense list? I'm drawing a complete blank on this one. I can add it to the items sublist - but not the expense, so I'm about 90% sure it's not possible, but figured I'd reach out to see if anyone had done this.
a
didn't even realize this wasn't possible, but i'm not seeing how to do it either
s
yes you can see the screenshot

When I click that, it redirects me to: https://5457165-sb1.app.netsuite.com/app/common/custom/columncustfield.nl, which is just a blank Transaction Line Field form. If you create one there and then go back to your Requisition form, it still is unavailable to be added.
@Sam-I-Am did you actually try to create one or did you just point out the button? The problem is that the field is not exposed, not that the button isn't there.
Also, on the "Apply Custom Field to Forms" screen, on the "Expenses" tab, my Requisition form is not available to be checked.
It's like someone just forgot to include that record type in the codebase for this part. WTF.
@KevinJ of Kansas did you open a case w/ support? I'm kind of curious to do that just to see what they'll say.
k
Nope. I don't have the 5 hours necessary to do it
s
no I didn't create any

Well I'll be
apparently - you can add fields to the requisition expenses sublist... but it doesn't add to existing forms.
a
i can't create one in my environment and get it to show up to be added to my custom requisition form still
k
I had to use a standard form and customize it in order for it to show up.
a
ohh
i see
k
Did it do the same for you?
a
yeah
i see all of my custom transaction line fields if i customize the standard form
k
That seems pretty solidly in the defect line. I'll think about talking to NS in a couple months though when I'm not drowning in work.
a
i opened a case with them so i'll show them
my guess is it's a known issue
s
yes thats what I noticed in my dev acct, will test on another sandbox
a
yep known defect, i'll get our case attached and report the defect # here
