Our NetSuite account manager contacted us saying there was an internal backend issue and we have more active subsidiaries than we're paying for. We're going back and forth on the number of subsidiaries that we should be billed for. Does anyone have any experience with this? We have 2 consolidation ones, 12 active countries, and then 3 elimination subsidiaries. I'm under the impression that the 2 consolidation and 12 active countries should count towards our total, but the rep won't give us any clarification. Anyone have any idea?

Have you checked "View Billing Information"? That should tell you your subsidiary count - how many you have provisioned, followed by how many you're currently using.

@Mika Hakkinen This is the issue - NetSuite identified that they had a bug among some customers where they have a provisioned amount of one number (13) but are actively using more than that (14). So they wants us to confirm how many we are using and I'm just trying to figure out exactly how they calculate that number (14). I'm guessing it's the consolidation + active countries.

Ah i see. And yes, i agree with you. As far as I'm aware, only elimination and based (parent / top of the branch) subsidiary doesn't count. So yes I agree with your calculation.

Thank you!

If you haven’t already..... ask the rep to send you an estimate breaking down of your itemized costs. Ask them to tie the quantities together clearly on the estimate so you see the associated costs. If the rep can’t answer this, ask for someone in their sales ops team to put this together
