i have a saved search to grab US subsidiary data from last year - No matter what type of consolidated exchange rate I use it still pulls in current rate - The rate should be about 1.32 but I get about 1.27 - upon checking the exchange rate for this month the historical exchange rate shows up at 1.27 however for the month I am running this report on the exchange rate was infact 1.32 - - any suggestions?

do you have some screenshots of your saved search settings?

@Marc Reicher
thanks for looking

When you select the consolidated exchange rate setting of
Per Account
then the rate that gets applied will depend on the gl account associated with the transaction line. For assets and liabilities, the current rate will always get applied, regardless of the transaction dates. So that could be what's happening depending on the specific results you are looking at

thanks @Marc Reicher makes sense. however nothing changes when I try Historical or any other rates

Hi @Amtoj the SS will give you current rate if the exchange rate is per account for all months historical and current for balance sheet accounts (for P&L it uses the correct numbers). There is no way to pull a BS account from the search with the proper historical period rates without doing some conversion yourself with the exchange rate table. All that said, we have an automated solution that shows a rolling balance sheet with the appropriate rates across one or more subs and/or roll-ups. Check our www.satorireporting.com
